I’m thinking there is a gas not mentioned that would expand the veggie oil stream of relationships, but the odor would not elicit an approach response. I’m talking methane. Put that in your stove pot and boil some water for tea.

Indeed, I was just at the Aspen Environmental Forum where I finally saw a plan for a home methane digester that seemed like it might work for an individual family — that is, churn household waste and use the resulting effluent to cook with. Step by step we edge toward (or return to) sustainability.
