Ours also had a barrier down the middle of the growing area to rotate the crops with the chooks for a year at a time. It was the best weed control we ever could ask for. Another great post, Doug! :)

Bugs weren't a problem last year so much as ground squirrels. So far so good on both this year. The beans are now three times the size of the photo in this Dispatch. Also I'm going to be watching to see what you do about all the bugs that will probably assault your garden as summer goes progresses.
